세계시민교육 정책 개발을 위한 가이드 Год публикации: 2017 Автор: Swee-Hin Toh | Gary Shaw | Danilo Padilla Организация-автор: APCEIU 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원은 유네스코 회원국이 국가 교육정책에 세계시민교육을 반영하고 이를 통해 지속가능발전목표 4.7을 효과적으로 달성하는 것을 돕기 위해 『세계시민교육 정책 개발을 위한 가이드(Global Citizenship Education: A Guide for Policymakers)』를 개발ㆍ출간하였다.본 가이드는 크게 두 부분으로 나뉜다. 첫 번째 장에서는 세계시민교육의 배경과 논리, 그리고 개념을 차례로 살펴봄으로써 세계시민교육을 개괄하고자 하였다. 그리고 두 번째 장에서는 각국이 자신의 우선적 목표와 맥락에 맞게 세계시민교육을 현행 교육 시스템에 반영할 수 있도록 하는 다양한 선별적 전략들을 정책 검토ㆍ개발, 교육과정 검토ㆍ개발, 역량 강화, 지식의 창출ㆍ공유ㆍ확산, 모니터링 및 평가 등의 5가지 주요 정책 영역으로 나누어 제시하고자 하였다.본 가이드는 영어와 한국어로 우선 출간되었으며, 향후 전 세계의 더 많은 독자들에게 접근성을 제공하기 위하여 프랑스어와 아랍어를 포함한 다른 언어로도 추가 번역될 예정이다. 모쪼록 본 가이드가 정책입안자들과 실천가들에게 서로의 경험과 통찰을 나누는 계기를 제공할 수 있기를 바란다.

Global Citizenship Education (GCED) aims to empower learners to assume active roles to face and resolve global challenges and to become proactive contributors to a more peaceful, tolerant, inclusive and secure world.Education is the most important tool for equipping young people, our future generation of leaders, with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to tackle prejudice and hostility, and to build more peaceful, tolerant and equitable societies. While there are different understandings and manifestations of GCED in different countries, GCED in its various forms is fast becoming an important and necessary component of education systems in sub-Saharan Africa and across the world.The commitment of actors around the world to promoting GCED has contributed highly to the development of GCED, including raising awareness and catalysing action. Furthermore, this has led to the incorporation of GCED in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through Target 4.7, which captures the clear call for an education that addresses the needs of the twenty-first century, empowering learners to act towards a more peaceful, just, inclusive and sustainable world.GCED reflects the aim of education to go beyond just access and ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong opportunities for all’ in the next fifteen years.UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa (ROSA) and the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) invited partners across Africa for the 2017 Sub-Saharan Africa GCED Regional Network Meeting on 6–7 April 2017 in Johannesburg. The meeting was designed to jumpstart the formation of the Africa Regional GCED Network, map different GCED programmes in the region, and explore areas of possible collaboration in light of solidifying regional action on GCED. 
Interrupting Extremism by Creating Educative Turbulence Год публикации: 2014 Автор: Lynn Davies Организация-автор: Curriculum Inquiry This article begins from the premise that it is important to explore how people unlearn, as well as learn, specifically in terms of extremist or violent attitudes. Three different country examples are given of intergroup encounters that interrupt rigidities in attitudes: working across ethnic groups in Sri Lanka, tackling religious divides in Northern Ireland through shared classes, and initiatives to prevent violent extremism in the United Kingdom. Pedagogical implications of unlearning involve working with the four Ds of deradicalization, debiasing, disengagement and desistence. Des exemples tirés de trois pays sont mobilisés pour montrer comment des rencontres intergroupes conduisent à infléchir des comportements rigides : le travail entre groupes ethniques au Sri Lanka, la lutte contre les divisions religieuses en Irlande du Nord à l'aide de classes mixtes, et des initiatives visant à prévenir l'extrémisme violent au Royaume-Uni. Les implications pédagogiques d'une approche par le "désapprentissage" nécessitent de mobiliser les quatre "D": déradicalisation, désubjectivation, désengagement et désistance. 
Beyond Bali Education Package Год публикации: 2012 Автор: Lily Taylor | Saul Karnovsky The Beyond Bali Project funded by Building Community Resilience (BCR) aims to develop and produce an education resource for secondary school students (years 8/9) on the Bali bombings and the Bali Peace Park. The resource is designed to build social resilience to violent extremism by: - providing students with the skills and tools to critically analyze and challenge violent extremism, its causes and consequences - raising awareness and education on the social impacts of violent extremism - encouraging students to think about how societies can resist the influence of violent extremism - engaging students through activities and discussion about the Bali Peace Park as social resistance to terrorism. Cette ressource est conçue afin de renforcer la résilience sociale à l’extrémisme violent. Pour ce faire, elle :- Fournit aux étudiants les compétences et les outils nécessaires pour analyser de façon critique et remettre en question l’extrémisme violent, ses causes et ses conséquences,- Sensibilise aux impacts sociaux de l’extrémisme violent- Encourage les étudiants à réfléchir sur les façons dont les sociétés peuvent résister à l’influence de l’extrémisme violent- Propose aux étudiants de participer à des activités et à engager des discussions autour du Bali Peace Park.

Раскрытие их потенциала играет ключевую роль для повышения качества обучения. Факты говорят о том, что качество образования повышается при оказании поддержки учителям и понижается при ее отсутствии, что влияет на шокирующий уровень неграмотности молодежи, отраженный в настоящем докладе.В данном докладе представлены четыре стратегии по обеспечению школ лучшими учителями в целях предоставления всем детям качественного образования. В докладе также отмечается, что учителя могут действительно добиваться успеха только в благоприятных условиях при использовании хорошо разработанных стратегий в области учебных программ и процедур оценки, направленных на повышение уровня преподавания и обучения. В настоящем докладе представлены четкие доказательства того, что образование обеспечивает устойчивые условия для достижения всех целей в области развития. Просвещение матерей позволяет не только расширить права и возможности женщин, но и сохранить жизни детей. Просвещение общин способствует преобразованию обществ и развитию экономики. В этом и заключается главная идея настоящего Всемирного доклада по мониторингу ОДВ. It also makes a powerful case for placing education at the heart of the global development agenda after 2015.An education system is only as good as its teachers. Unlocking their potential is essential to enhancing the quality of learning. Evidence shows that education quality improves when teachers are supported – it deteriorates if they are not, contributing to the shocking levels of youth illiteracy captured in this Report. This Report identifies four strategies to provide the best teachers to reach all children with a good quality education. The Report shows also that teachers can only shine in the right context, with well-designed curricula and assessment strategies to improve teaching and learning. Educate communities, and you transform societies and grow economies. This is the message of this EFA Global Monitoring Report.

Burch | Chris Willott The paper, entitled "Medical students as global citizens: a qualitative study of medical students’ views on global health teaching within the undergraduate medical curriculum", is based on a small-scale qualitative study with UCL(University College London) medical students. It aimed to explore Year 5 medical students’ knowledge and learning about global health issues, as well as their wider perspectives on its relevance to their professional development. The work builds on DERC(Development Education Research Centre)’s long-term interest in global issues within the initial training and professional development of a number of key global professions, such as teaching, medicine and engineering. 
Measuring Distance to the SDG Targets 2019 - An Assessment of Where OECD Countries Stand Год публикации: 2019 Организация-автор: OECD The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set a broad and ambitious programme for the world to achieve by 2030. With 17 Goals, underpinned by 169 Targets, the complex and integrated nature of the 2030 Agenda presents national governments with huge challenges for implementation. To assist countries, the OECD has developed a unique methodology allowing comparison of progress across SDG goals and targets. Based on the UN Global List of 244 indicators, this study evaluates the distance that OECD countries need to travel to meet SDG targets for which data is currently available. This 2019 edition of the study presents the latest results for OECD countries, both on average and individually, as well as new exploratory approaches to assessing progress over time and transboundary aspects of the SDGs. By providing a high-level overview of countries’ strengths and weaknesses in performance across the SDGs, this study aims to support member countries in navigating the SDGs and in setting their own priorities for action within the broad 2030 Agenda.
