An analysis of the legislation of these countries and scientific literature allowed us to uncover the causes and formulate some recommendations for preventing and reducing the use of child labor in agriculture in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The article was prepared on the basis of a study conducted by The Institute of Agricultural Research of the Higher School of Economics in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2021. التعليم المسؤول للتاريخ كوسيلة للمصالحة التاريخية؟ : تجربة الرابطة الأوروبية لمعلمي التاريخ: هل تصلح كدراسة حالة؟ Год публикации: 2012 Автор: فان دير لييو-رورد، يوكي Организация-автор: Lebanese Association for Educational Studies (LAES) يكتب العديد من الباحثين الجامعيين المختصين بنظرية التاريخ وتعليم التاريخ عن المصالحة من خلال تعلّم التاريخ وتعليمه. ولكن تكاد لا توجد معلومات أمبيريقية عن تطبيقات عملية لمقاربات من هذا النوع ولا عن مسار وضعها قيد التنفيذ. أود في هذه المساهمة ان القي نظرة عن قرب على أساليب عمل يوروكليو EUROCLIO (الرابطة الأوروبية لمعلمي التاريخ) في البلدان التي توجد داخلها توترات سياسية وعرقية ودينية مثل بلغاريا واستونيا ولاتفيا ومولدوفا ورومانيا وروسيا وأوكرانيا وتركيا وفي البلدان والمناطق التي تعرضت حديثا لصراعات عنيفة مثل البوسنة وكرواتيا وقبرص وجورجيا وجمهورية مقدونيا وصربيا. ومن ثم أود أن أطرح السؤال حول عمل يوروكليو EUROCLIO وأستطلع ما يصح ان يكون مثلا عن المصالحة من خلال تعليم التاريخ وما اذا مقاربتها تنشئ تعليما وتعلما للتاريخ يكون داعما لكيانات سياسية مستدامة. Responsible History as a Tool for Historical Reconciliation? EUROCLIO, the European Association of History Educators as a Case Study? However, there are almost no empirical data on practical applications of such approaches nor on the process of implementation. In this contribution. I’d like to have a close look at the working methods of the European Association of History Educators EUROCLIO, in countries with internal political, racial and religious tensions, such as Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Moldovia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and in the countries and regions that were recently exposed to severe conflicts such as Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Republic of Macedonia and Serbia. Then I’d want to ask the question about how EUROCLIO functions and explore what applies to be an example of reconciliation through teaching history, and whether the reconciliation approach creates a history teaching and learning that would be supportive of sustainable political entities. 
Adolescents in a Changing World: The Case for Urgent Investment Год публикации: 2024 Организация-автор: World Health Organization (WHO) | United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) This report focuses on the strong returns on investment associated with investing in adolescent health and well-being. Today, adolescents make up more than 16% of the world's population. They are a demographic that is often overlooked or misunderstood. Investments in adolescents can reduce inequalities and help to protect their human rights. The economic and social returns from a wide range of investments to address adolescent well-being are significant. The report makes a compelling case for investing in adolescents, they are living in a world facing multifaceted crises, and they will be tomorrow's changemakers and leaders. The staggering cost of inaction is estimated at US$110 trillion over a period of 27 years (2024-50). That amounts to 7.7% of the total GDP of those countries included in the models, which themselves include around 80% of the world's population. Many interventions will yield high returns, including those focused on health services and multisectoral interventions, for example on SRHR, HPV, TB, myopia, education and training, child marriage and road accident prevention. This evidence base is crucial for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, educators, donors, and civil society organizations as we map the road ahead for a better and more sustainable future. Investing in adolescent health and well-being strengthens the human capital of a country, and hence a country's potential for future development and for ending extreme poverty and creating more inclusive societies. 
في مفهوم الأميّة الأكاديميّة: من الأميّة الثقافيّة إلى الأميّة الأكاديميّة (نقد وتنوير - العدد التاسع; العدد 19، سبتمبر 2021) Год публикации: 2021 Автор: Ali Asaad Watfa في هذا المقال طرحنا على بساط البحث ظاهرة الأمّية الأكاديميّة، وهي ظاهرة سوسيولوجيّة ومعرفيّة شديدة الخطورة والحساسيّة، إذ قد يعدّها بعضهم ضربا من الاستفزاز لنخبة المجتمع، وقد يرى فيها آخرون تناقضا يجمع بين التبخيس (أمّيّة) والتّمجيد (أكاديمي). وهي إلى ذلك تمثّل تهديدا وجوديّا للمستقبل العربي برمّته. وقد توخّينا التدرّج في تفكيك الظّاهرة، فانطلقنا من العام إلى الخاصّ، أي من الأمية الأبجديّة، فالأمّيّة الثقافيّة، وصولا إلى الأميّة الأكاديميّة. وانشدّ اهتمامنا إلى تعريف الظّاهرة والتماس عواملها ومعاييرها وتجلّياتها من خلال منهج تحليليّ نقديّ، وعبر استدعاء مواقف وشهادات لمفكّرين عرب كثيرين رفعوا الصّوت محذّرين من الظاهرة وتداعياتها. On the Concept of Academic Iliteracy: From Cultural Illiteracy to Academic Illiteracy (Criticism and Enlightenment; Issue 19, September 2021) Год публикации: 2021 Автор: Ali Asaad Watfa In this article, the authors presented the phenomenon of academic illiteracy, which is a very dangerous and sensitive sociological and cognitive phenomenon. Some may consider it a form of provocation to the elite of society, and others may believe it is a contradiction that combines underestimation (illiteracy) and glorification (academic). In addition, it represents an existential threat to the entire Arab future. We sought to dismantle the phenomenon gradually, so the authors proceeded from the general to the specific, that is, from alphabetic illiteracy, to cultural illiteracy, all the way to academic illiteracy. Our attention was directed to defining the phenomenon and seeking its factors, criteria, and manifestations through a critical analytical approach, and by invoking the positions and testimonies of many Arab thinkers who raised their voices warning of the phenomenon and its repercussions. 
Assessment of Teacher Competencies in Selected Provinces of Afghanistan (2023) Год публикации: 2024 Организация-автор: UNESCO Kabul UNESCO Kabul Office commissioned a study aimed at assessing the competencies of Grade 3 teachers. A total of 617 teachers from 223 randomly selected schools across five provinces in Afghanistan participated in the study. Overall, although surveyed grade 3 teachers demonstrated a high level of self-perception regarding teaching competencies, they had low content knowledge. There remained room for improvement in terms of pedagogical skills among participating teachers.
