Our Common Agenda Policy Brief 10: Transforming Education Год публикации: 2023 Организация-автор: United Nations (UN) Building on the Transforming Education Summit and the report of the International Commission on the Futures of Education, this policy brief takes a closer look at the current crisis in education and proposes ideas and guiding actions for countries and the international community to transform education. The right to education and lifelong learning is an essential part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development because education, knowledge and learning are fundamental to human dignity, growth and development. For centuries, education has been the great equalizer, the driving force of nation-building and the engine of social, cultural, economic and technological progress. But today, beset by a dual crisis of equity and relevance, education as we know it is no longer fit for purpose. Durante siglos, la educación ha sido la gran igualadora, la fuerza motriz de la construcción nacional y el motor del progreso social, cultural, económico y tecnológico. Sin embargo, en la actualidad, acosada por una doble crisis de equidad y pertinencia, la educación tal y como la conocemos ya no es idónea.

Représentant près de la moitié des opérateurs de l’État et accueillant un large public, ils ont un impact environnemental substantiel. De nombreuses initiatives ont été prises ces dernières années en la matière et les politiques menées dans les établissements commencent à se mettre en place. Elles sont cependant encore insuffisantes pour atteindre les objectifs affichés, manquant en particulier de nombreux outils pour développer une démarche rigoureuse, cohérente et efficace. L’enseignement supérieur a pourtant un rôle majeur à jouer, non seulement pour réduire sa propre empreinte écologique, mais aussi pour produire, adapter et diffuser les connaissances nécessaires à la réussite de la transition écologique.Higher education institution occupy a specific place in the ecological transition. Representing nearly half of the state operators and catering to a diverse audience, they have a substantial environmental impact. Numerous initiatives have been undertaken in recent years, and policies within these institutions are beginning to take shae. However, they are still insufficient to achieve the stated objectives, notably lacking many tools to develop a rigorous, coherent and effective approach. Higher education has a crucial role to play, not only in reducing its own ecological footprint but also in generating, adapting, and disseminating th knowledge necessary for the success of the ecological transition. 
Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Instruments for the Sustainable Development Goals: A Global Outlook Год публикации: 2024 Автор: Galindo Moreno | Manuel Ricardo Организация-автор: UNESCO This publication explores the design, implementation and impact of science, technology and innovation (STI) policy instruments across regions, revealing diverse policy priorities and support strategies. Data from the UNESCO Global Observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Instruments (GO-SPIN) platform shows that STI policy instruments are closely linked to the SDGs, particularly with SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) and SDG 4 (quality education). Over three-quarters of these policy instruments target these goals. This publication advocates for the use of evidence in designing policies and policy instruments and underscores the importance of continuous monitoring of their implementation. Additionally, it recommends diversifying funding sources, enhancing program management, fostering communication with stakeholders, and applying policy instruments to promote transformative learning.

Moreover, Belgium wish to concetrate on essential tasks a rotating presidency and therefore deliberately opts for sobriety. This Charter reflects the commitment of federal and federated entities involved in Presidency EU2024 to work for an organisation as sustainable as possible during their events.

Se trata de capacidades más que de contenidos, las que deben desarrollarse en forma interdisciplinaria y de manera progresiva para que las personas actúen de forma responsable respecto a ellas mismas y con los demás. El documento explica que la educación de la sexualidad está íntimamente relacionada con la comprensión, la reflexión y el discernimiento, y fortalece las bases para el aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida, preparando a los jóvenes para la vida adulta. Es así que el enfoque se centra en alcanzar un desarrollo y bienestar humano sostenible. 
Indigenous Knowledge and practices in Education in Latin America: Exploratory Analysis of How Indigenous Cultural Worldviews and Concepts Influence Regional Educational Policy Год публикации: 2017 Организация-автор: UNESCO Santiago This study presents a preliminary exploration of the approaches, processes and tools through which indigenous worldviews and concepts of knowledge and well-being can and have influenced education policies in Latin America. First, it addresses the principal theoretical approaches used in the area of indigenous knowledge and education policies, taking into account the persistence of an “epistemic otherness” and the need for a dialogue between the predominant approaches. Second, it addresses the normative framework and intercultural educational policies, emphasizing how and to what extent the countries in the region take indigenous knowledge into consideration and include it in their education policies and practices. Third, it presents a number of “relevant practices” in terms of dialogue with indigenous knowledge in education policies, taking into account the factors that favour the relevance of education to indigenous views and cultural practices, facilitating their replicability and sustainability. Furthermore, these practices respond to key criteria like recognizing learners as ‘carriers’ and producers of culture, valuing the use of schools as centres of social and cultural activities and favouring the inclusive learning of indigenous and non-indigenous students. Finally, the study unveils challenges for the advancement of the dialogue between indigenous knowledge and education policies, at the same time proposing key concepts to be approached in depth.
