Ce pack est conçu pour les enseignants qui souhaitent organiser des visites d'étudiants dans des lieux authentiques de mémoire, et pour les guides, les universitaires et les autres personnes qui travaillent tous les jours avec les jeunes à Auschwitz. Pour éviter le risque de réactions inappropriées ou l'échec de bénéficier d'un investissement important dans Voyage et hébergement, préparation et discussions est nécessaire avant la visite et de réflexion sérieuse après. Ce pack offre un aperçu de la complexité du comportement humain afin que les étudiants puissent avoir une meilleure compréhension de ce que signifie être un citoyen. Les jeunes gens qui visitent Auschwitz au cours des prochaines années seront témoins des derniers témoins. Leur génération sera la dernière pour entendre les survivants parlant sur place. Le Conseil de l'Europe, le ministère polonais de l'éducation et d'Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial et Musée parrainent conjointement ce projet visant à la prévention des crimes contre l'humanité à travers l'enseignement de commémoration de l'Holocauste. Unable to voice their concerns, unaware of how others feel or left to rely on friends and social media for their information, young people can be frustrated or confused about some of the major issues which affect their communities and European society today. In the absence of help from school, they might have no reliable means of dealing with these issues constructively and no one to guide them. ■ The idea for this Pack came out of a call from policy-makers and practitioners in a number of European countries for more effective training for teachers in the teaching of controversial issues.

The best way to address school violence is to step in promptly, with effective intervention in the first instance. Internationally, ‘best practice’ in preventing and responding to school violence is being used to develop school-wide systems of prevention and intervention.This publication was prepared under the co-operation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of East Kazakhstan Oblast, the East Kazakhstan State University, and the UNICEF Office in Kazakhstan. It aims to facilitate the prevention of violence towards children in schools in Kazakhstan, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
