Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) The purpose of the handbook is to: Provide teachers with a selection of relevant and accessible in-classroom and out-of-classroom educational resources (summaries of short activities, lessons, units) that aim to instil the principles of the RoL among primary school students. Assist teachers in applying the teaching resources to their local educational settings by providing ideas for adaptation for a variety of learning environments. This handbook provides: Summaries of existing teaching resources selected from UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, and ministries that work to meet the learning outcomes on GCED for the RoL. Links to the original resource that offers additional learning opportunities. Tips and suggestions for adaptation, extension and cross-references of teaching resources; and Suggestions for learning assessment. This handbook can be useful for: Teachers and teacher trainers in formal school settings at the primary school level. It encourages teachers to strengthen the RoL through education by integrating it into their lessons and planning. Professionals working in non-formal education or engaging with young people, for example, in sports associations, community organizations, social work and the justice sector. Parents seeking to raise empowered young citizens who actively contribute to peace and justice. A Guide on Violence Prevention in Educational Settings in Eastern Europe and Central Asia Год публикации: 2015 Организация-автор: UNESCO The emphasis is given to gender-based violence. This guide offers practical advice and proposes organizational and educational measures, as well as response schemes for the management and staff of education institutions in order to address acts of violence and provide assistance to the victims. The guide is advisory in nature: it can be used as a background material for developing a national recommendation on the prevention of violence in an education institution.Experts from the ministries of education, education institutions and public organizations of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) took part in discussions throughout the process of publication-writing. Пособие носит практический характер и предлагает организационные и воспитательные меры, а также алгоритмы действий руководства и персонала образовательного учреждения по реагированию на факты насилия и оказанию помощи пострадавшим. Пособие носит рекомендательный характер: на его основе могут быть разработаны национальные методические рекомендации по предотвращению насилия в образовательном учреждении.В обсуждении пособия в ходе его разработки приняли участие специалисты министерств образования, образовательных учреждений и общественных организаций стран Восточной Европы и Центральной Азии, а также Организации Объединенных Наций по вопросам образования, науки и культуры (ЮНЕСКО) и Детского фонда ООН (ЮНИСЕФ).

Developed by UNEP and UNESCO, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), this Guidebook helps young people connect the talk about the green economy, green societies and green jobs to theirlifestyles. It focuses on the skills required to make these transitions – providing case studies and insight on green jobs and the skills they will require in terms of social innovation and entrepreneurship, the role of different stakeholders (government and private sector) and life skills. Young men and women are already driving change across the world. We must provide them with the skills they need to create new lifestyles and develop green jobs. Building a green future must start with training and education. It must start by listening to young people, by engaging their creativity and acting together.
