Ces documents sont une contribution directe à la stratégie et le Plan d’action des Nations Unies et sont publiés dans le cadre du Forum multipartite et de la Conférence ministérielle sur la lutte contre les discours de haine par l’éducation, en septembre et octobre 2021.L’apparition de la pandémie de COVID-19 a mis en évidence la pertinence de la Stratégie et le Plan d’action des Nations Unies, générant une vague de discours de haine dans le monde entier, exacerbant encore l’intolérance et la discrimination à l’égard de certains groupes et déstabilisant les sociétés et les systèmes politiques. Of particular relevance are the concrete actions parliaments can take to address and mitigate the prevalence and impact of hate speech on those who are most vulnerable in society, including women, minorities and other underrepresented groups. The objective of this brief is to provide meaningful and practical guidance for parliaments and parliamentarians, as well as those who programmatically support them, on steps they can take to reduce and counter hate speech while fostering peace, constructive dialogue and trust.

Les équipes de journalistes et d’enquêteurs de l'ONG peignent un portrait plutôt sombre, avec notamment un recul du droit des femmes, les conséquences dramatiques du réchauffement climatique sur les populations les plus vulnérables, le recul du droit de manifester, ou encore la prolifération de la haine en ligne dans le monde. La multiplication des conflits armés et le choc du 7 octobre ont également eu des conséquences dramatiques. Cependant, quelques bonnes nouvelles sont aussi à noter, avec des avancées pour les droits des personnes LGBTI par exemple. Amnesty International Report describes the human rights situation worldwide in 2023 in 155 different countries. TheNGO's teams of journalists and investigators paint a rather gloomy picture, with, in particular, a decline in women's rights, the dramatic consequences of global warming on the most vulnerable populations, a decline in the right to protest, and the proliferation of online hate around the world. The multiplication of armed conflicts and the shock of October 7 have also had dramatic consequences. However, there is some good news too, with advances in LGBTI rights for example. Monitoring Report: Gender Equality in Malaysia Год публикации: 2020 Автор: Tan Beng Hui Организация-автор: Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW) | Federation of Reproductive Health Associations, Malaysia (FRHAM) The Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), together with the Federation of Reproductive Health Associations Malaysia (FRHAM) and Justice For Sisters (JFS) organised the Gender Equality Initiative, a project aimed to monitor and support the Malaysian government to implement their commitment towards the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). This two-year project is funded by the European Union, dedicated to working with stakeholders, in particular governmental bodies, civil society organisations, media, women and young girls in Perak, Terengganu and at the national level.In the third UPR Cycle, Malaysia has received several recommendations on gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, access to comprehensive sexuality education and protection of women and girls from violence. Malaysia is urged to accede to relevant Optional Protocols and withdraw reservations to the Convention which hinder the rights of women and girls in Malaysia. As a result, FRHAM was commissioned to conduct a research on the Baseline Monitoring Report containing four thematic areas, namely, a) ending all forms of discrimination against women and girls; (b) eliminating violence against women and girls; (c) eliminating harmful practices against women and girls; and (d) ensuring universal access to SRHR.

Despite the severe socio-economic impact of the pandemic, stability has been ensured. But in the long run, quarantines and tight restrictions will remind of themselves and expose old problems. Among the most acute are unemployment and the threat of violent extremism. Moreover, both problems are related.
