The report intends to contribute to the facilitation of high-level policy discussions between national education authorities, regional and continental bodies on possible strategic shifts and interventions to boost access to education and improve the quality of teaching and learning in Africa. The report provides evidence-based analysis of the situation of education in Africa while putting into perspective the Sustainable Development Goals and the objectives of the Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 16–25) in line with the African Union Agenda 2063. It highlights the progress made in the continent’s education sector over the past decade (2010–2020) while pointing out the challenges that remain, particularly in the area of equity. Il entend contribuer à faciliter la tenue de débats politiques de haut niveau entre les autorités nationales chargées de l’éducation et les organismes régionaux et continentaux dans l’optique de déterminer les interventions et les changements stratégiques envisageables pour améliorer l’accès à l’éducation et la qualité de l’enseignement et de l’apprentissage en Afrique. Le rapport présente une analyse fondée sur des données probantes de la situation de l’éducation en Afrique, en mettant en perspective les objectifs de développement durable ainsi que les objectifs de la Stratégie continentale de l’éducation pour l’Afrique (CESA 2016-2025) conformes à l’Agenda 2063 de l’Union africaine. Il souligne les progrès accomplis sur le continent dans le secteur de l’éducation au cours de la dernière décennie (2010-2020) et met en évidence les défis qui restent à relever, notamment en matière d’équité.

Gender Training Manual: INEE Guidance Note on Gender; Gender Equality in and Through Education Год публикации: 2021 Организация-автор: Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) This training manual outlines 4-8 hours of training activities and materials related to gender-responsive education in emergencies. These training materials include guidance for facilitators (including key concepts, activity instructions, and discussion guides), presentation slides, and activity handouts for participants. Facilitators are encouraged to first review the instructions prior to training, which provides guidance for contextualization of the training resources.

Pardee Center for International Futures This report by UNDP, in partnership with the Pardee Center for International Futures at the University of Denver, is part of a series examining the impact of COVID-19 on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a potential pathway for socioeconomic recovery from the effects of the pandemic. The analysis explores a range of possible future effects of COVID-19 on different aspects of development while also highlighting the benefits of bold choices that can power the global recovery effort, accelerate the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, and support investments that reap long-term benefits for sustainable development.This second flagship report extends the analysis to the People and Prosperity pillars of the 2030 Agenda and focuses on 69 countries in the low and medium human development groups. Pre-existing structural limitations and systemic challenges in their health and education systems, combined with porous safety nets and fiscal constraints, put low and medium human development countries at risk of being disproportionately impacted by the regressive effects of the pandemic and left further behind in SDG achievement.
