These were an integral part of the Annual Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE) Youth Blast, which was organised by YELI-Burundi on September 16-17, 2019 in Bujumbura, Burundi. H.E Everlyne Butoyi, Minister of Youth, IT and Posts, inaugurated the event. The theme of the main TAGe plenary was The Place of the Youth and Social and Emotional Learning for the Prevention of Violent Extremism – within the broader context of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250.This unique UNESCO MGIEP TAGe modality for actionable dialogue comprised the following components – month-long online discussions, live TAGe and actionable outputs. The preceding online discussion had over 1,000 participants, and witnessed rich discussion threads being compressed into insightful, actionable ideas. Subsequently, based on the online engagement and the on-ground work done, six representatives were chosen from these participants to represent the collective voices of the youth. They were joined by three distinguished senior decision-makers (from the Government of Burundi and civil society) in a live TAGe exchange, where they delved into issues and unearthed creative solutions in front of an audience of over 200.  Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Bangladesh Год публикации: 2015 Автор: Sheikh Tawhidul Islam Организация-автор: UNESCO The CCESD pilot study contributes in developing a national baseline scenario regarding disaster and climate change impacts on education sector for the first time in Bangladesh. Gressel | Rao R. Bhavani Организация-автор: UNESCO This Transforming ‘Men’talities Report is consolidated into a few key messages and crucial responsible parties who can potentially take up these key messages. These recommendations reflect broad areas of theoretical and social science research, policy and governance, and multi- stakeholder engagement. In essence, this report sought to lay a roadmap for how India might best engage men and boys in GEWE (Gender equality and women’s empowerment). Multiple arguments were made in terms of the efficacy of this approach for achieving SDG5; however, these arguments are based largely in theory, in small pilot findings, or in limited sectors. Until now, efforts to engage men and boys in GEWE have been sporadic and limited, given relatively low priority in terms of funding and national and international support, and generally far removed from public consciousness. A more unified and collaborative effort is required to properly understand how to make design effective strategies for engaging men and boys in GEWE.  Not Just Hot Air: Putting Climate Change Education Into Practice Год публикации: 2015 Организация-автор: UNESCO This publication presents UNESCO’s work on Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in 2012/2013, and intends to serve as a reference for similar work in the future. It provides: National case studies on five CCESD country pilots conducted by UNESCO in 2012/2013 in: Dominican Republic, Guyana, Mauritius, South Africa and Tuvalu. However, given the scale of the global learning crisis even before the Covid-19 pandemic – with one child in six denied their right to education – it’s vital we don’t limit our ambition to building ‘back’ to how things were. Now it’s imperative we build forward better – and differently. There’s no denying the scale of the challenge. But there’s also cause for hope. The global reach of the Covid-19 crisis has generated a shared understanding of the impact of crisis on children’s right to education. This understanding can be used to build forward better – and radically transform children’s chances.Build Forward Better presents new analysis on which countries’ school systems are most vulnerable to existing risks and future crises. And it sets out what the global community needs to do to support ministries of education in those countries to prepare now. So that, even during emergencies, education systems can provide all children with good-quality, safe and inclusive opportunities to learn.  The United Nations World Water Development Report 2022: Groundwater; Making the Invisible Visible Год публикации: 2022 Организация-автор: UNESCO The 2022 edition of the United Nations World Water Development Report, titled “Groundwater: Making the invisible visible”, describes the challenges and opportunities associated with the development, management and governance of groundwater across the world. This speaks about the importance of the youth for development in various parts of the globe, particularly in developing countries which constitute 90% of the global youth population. From comprehensive holistic perspective peace, peacebuilding and dialogue embrace all aspects and dimensions of life – inter-generational, social, economic, political, ethnic, religious, civic, ideological, cultural, and natural. The youth related issues are directly linked with the SDGs agenda. Central Asian states are also on the list of developing countries, with an increasing demographic share of the youth in the general population, meaning that the countries of the region are “young.” As of 2020, the total population of the four countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) was 68.46 million, of which youth comprised 16.55 million or 24,1%. What Challenges for Peacebuilding the Youth of Central Asia Face? This highlights the urgency required for elaborating and implementing special policies on youth development. For Central Asia, the peace and peacebuilding agenda is the development agenda, and vice versa, as neither is possible without the other, and these in turn are intrinsically linked with youth-related issues. This report provides a detailed overview of the existing challenges to the youth of the 4 countries of the region – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan, Uzbekistan – structured around three main themes of peacebuilding: (1) an education and learning environment; (2) economic and social participation; and (3) civic engagement. Governments, international organizations, professionals and policymakers in the youth, peacebuilding and development sectors, academia and NGOs are invited to join forces to accelerate the achievement of youth development for a more just, sustainable and peaceful future.  E2030: education and skills for the 21st century, report Год публикации: 2017 Организация-автор: UNESCO Santiago The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, OREALC/UNESCO Santiago, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sport of the Republic of Argentina, organized the Regional Meeting of Ministers of Education of Latin America and the Caribbean – “E2030: Education and skills for the 21st century”.
