Technology and Values-Driven Transformation in Education (Journal of Southeast Asian Education: The Official Journal Of SEAMEO; Vol. 1, Special issue) Год публикации: 2023 Организация-автор: Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) The 11th SEAMEO-University of Tsukuba Symposium under the theme Technology and Values Driven Transformation in Education held on 20-22 February 2023 successfully engaged over 19,860 participants from 45 countries. With 30 speakers from 10 countries, the symposium provided the platform to share and exchange best practices carried out by schools and universities apart from identifying the challenges encountered by teachers, students and academicians. SEAMEO and UT have selected quality articles emerging from the symposium and put them together in the Journal of Southeast Asian Education. For example: - Lifelong Learning in the Digital Age- A Breakthrough of Values-Driven Strategies in Using Multimedia-Based Instruction (MMBI): A Course Towards Sustainable Transformative Education- Leave No One Behind: The Solution to an Inclusive Future- Unplugged Computational Thinking with Colouring Books 
Global Citizenship Education: A Handbook for Parents, Community and Learners in Asia-Pacific Год публикации: 2023 Автор: Darla K. To achieve this, parents, caregivers and the community will need to be empowered with the necessary GCED knowledge and skills too. In this handbook, GCED related concepts are introduced, alongside adaptable step-by-step action plans and best practices collected across the Asia-Pacific region to support parents and the community to take action in developing GCED competences in learners. 
Assessment of Transversal Competencies: Current Tools in the Asian Region Год публикации: 2019 Автор: Esther Care | Alvin Vista | Helyn Kim Организация-автор: UNESCO Bangkok | Brookings Institution UNESCO’s Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education has been working on education quality under the name of ‘transversal competencies’ (TVC) since 2013. Many of these competencies have been included in national education policy and curricula of countries in the region, but now the importance accorded them is increasingly gaining attention. As policy makers increasingly require their systems to provide evidence of 21st century skills acquired by their learners, implementation challenges highlight the need for a stronger alignment between curricula, pedagogy and learning assessments. UNESCO Bangkok’s Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia Pacific (NEQMAP) undertook this regional study to examine components within countries’ learning assessments that show how these apply to and can measure transversal competencies. This report provides valuable information on how learning assessments are already capturing TVC and is useful for a broad range of education stakeholders, not only test developers, but also curriculum developers, teacher trainers and teachers. Particularly important is the need to align these skills and competencies across the entire education system.

Morgan co-organized the 16th UNESCO-APEID International Conference, The Heart of Education: Learning to Live Together in November 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Conference provided a forum for participants to share their knowledge and experiences, raise critical questions, provide constructive feedback and, most of all, express their commitment to imbue and translate the essence of learning to live together in their respective educational efforts. This report contains selected papers presented at the Conference to reflect the linkages between learning and social development, showcase approaches and tools, and identify enabling policies and instruments to promote learning to live together. Paving the Road to Education: A Target-by-Target Analysis of SDG 4 for Asia and the Pacific Год публикации: 2018 Организация-автор: UNESCO Bangkok The globally adopted development agenda “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” has established ambitious intentions that build on the past Millennium Development Goals but also expand on their achievements.The Sustainable Development Goal 4 on education propels forward the vision of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all through a holistic, aspirational and systematic education agenda. Education monitoring is an integral part in this process.This publication delivers a data-rich snapshot of Sustainable Development Goal 4, its targets and their monitoring indicators while analyzing available data through a lens of inequality.Assessing the progress which countries have made in the recent past as well as where countries currently stand, this publication sets a baseline against which Member States from Asia and the Pacic are able to monitor progress in achieving the Goal 4 over time but at latest by 2030.Finally, after discussing emerging opportunities and remaining challenges in the region, this publication seeks to assist Member States in identifying what steps can be taken to ensure that the region will achieve the new education agenda.
