Terrorism and religious extremism in Central Asia: problems of perception. The heart of education: learning to live together; selected papers presented at the 16th UNESCO-APEID international conference Год публикации: 2014 Организация-автор: UNESCO Bangkok To help frame current thinking on education in a changing world, UNESCO Bangkok, the Ministry of Education in Thailand, the Asian-Pacific Network for International Education and Values (APNIEVE), Pearson Thailand and J.P. Morgan co-organized the 16th UNESCO-APEID International Conference, The Heart of Education: Learning to Live Together in November 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Conference provided a forum for participants to share their knowledge and experiences, raise critical questions, provide constructive feedback and, most of all, express their commitment to imbue and translate the essence of learning to live together in their respective educational efforts. This report contains selected papers presented at the Conference to reflect the linkages between learning and social development, showcase approaches and tools, and identify enabling policies and instruments to promote learning to live together. EIU Best Practice Series No. 5: Peace and human rights education through education for sustainable development: lessons from four case studies in the Philippines Год публикации: 2007 Организация-автор: APCEIU The four case studies showed that EIU through peace and human rights education in the context of education for sustainable development can build a critical mass of Filipinos who will reject wars and promote social security. Education can play a role to direct the children, youth, and adults toward peace building and better understanding of cultural differences. It should also be noted that when institutions adopt a peace culture, establishing local and international organizations and putting up resources for various peace-building initiatives become possible. Educational intervention can effect changes in the minds of men and build a lasting and substantive foundation for peace based on justice and respect for human rights. La paix et les droits de l'éducation par l'éducation pour le développement durable: les leçons de quatre études de cas aux Philippines (Meilleure série ECI de cas d'étude no. 5) Год публикации: 2007 Организация-автор: APCEIU Les quatre études de cas ont montré que ECI par l'éducation de la paix et les droits de l'homme dans le contexte de l'éducation pour le développement durable peut constituer une masse critique de Philippins qui rejettent les guerres et promouvoir la sécurité sociale. L'éducation peut jouer un rôle pour diriger les enfants, les jeunes et les adultes vers la construction de la paix et une meilleure compréhension des différences culturelles. Il convient également de noter que lorsque les institutions adoptent une culture de la paix, la création d'organisations locales et internationales et de mettre en place des ressources pour diverses initiatives de consolidation de la paix deviennent possibles. L'intervention éducative peut effectuer des changements dans l'esprit des hommes et de construire une base durable et de fond pour la paix fondée sur la justice et le respect des droits de l'homme. 
ثقافة السلام ودورها في تحقيق الإستقرار والتنمية في السودان Год публикации: 2015 Автор: Abdel Nasser Majzoub Makki Организация-автор: Sudan University of Science and Technology تكمن مشكلة الاطروحة في كيفية تطوير عناصر ثقافة السلام لتقوم بدورها في عملية الاستقرار والتنمية في السودان . وكذلك تطوير النظم التعليمية وتفعيل دور الإدارة الأهلية لنشر ثقافة السلام وقبول الآخر . تهدف الاطروحةإلى معرفة عناصر ثقافة السلام الاجتماعي ودورها في الاستقرار والتنمية في السودان . إن الفرضية التي حققتها هذهالاطروحة تتمثل في ان هناك علاقة ذات دلالة احصائية بين ثقافة السلام والاستقرار والتنمية في السودان بنسبة 95,6% من العينة المبحوثة. استخدم الدارس المنهج الوصفي التاريخي للتحقق من الفرضيات .واعتمد في طريقة جمع المعلومات اللازمة لمادة الدراسة بالاطلاع على دراسات سابقة و ورش عمل - وحضور سمنارات وكذلك استخدم الاستبانة والمقابلة الشخصية . وعبر هذه الآلية توصل الدارسإلى عدد من النتائج أهمها : 1. أن هناك العديد من العناصر التي تهدد ثقافة السلام في السودان منها نظم التعليم ، الإدارة الأهلية ، الأسلحة ، النزاعات القبلية . 2. للتعليم والتدريب اثر فاعل في تغير السلوك كما أنه رأس الرمح في محاربة الفقرة ودراء النزاعات وبذلك له دور فاعل في نشر ثقافة السلام . A Culture of Peace and Its Role in Achieving Stability and Development in Sudan Год публикации: 2015 Автор: Abdel Nasser Majzoub Makki Организация-автор: Sudan University of Science and Technology The problem of thesis concerned in how to develop peace culture elements to boost stability and development in Sudan, and to develop educational systems, and activated the role of the native administration in peace culture dissemination, and accept other. Thesis aimed to know the elements of social peace and its role in stability and development in Sudan. Thesis hypotheses come out with the statement, that; statically there is relation between peace culture and stability, and development, its ratio estimated 95, 6% from the samples. Researcher used descriptive and historical methods to investigate hypotheses, depended in collecting data on pre-studies, workshops, seminars, questionnaire, and interviews. Research comes out with important results as below; There are many elements threats peace culture in Sudan, as education system, native administration, weapons, and tribal conflicts. Education and training has a great impact upon behavior, and pivotal in compacts poverty, and conflicts, so it has effective role in peace dissimilation.
