A Whole School Approach to Prevent School-Related Gender-Based Violence 出版年份: 2016 机构作者: United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) The limitations of data collection and monitoring mechanisms around school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) are widely acknowledged. This guide provides a framework to guide policy makers and practitioners in designing school violence prevention programmes and strengthening response actions. The prevention model is based on eight evidence-based standards and is accompanied by a monitoring approach with a set of proposed indicators at school, district and national levels. The goal is to enable implementation strategies to be adapted and monitored in order to improve data collection and accountability around incidents of SRGBV at the school, district and national levels.

The plan of action focuses on human rights education in two broadly defined sectors, i.e. higher education and training for civil servants, law enforcement officials and the military.

From this angle, the role of education is not to intercept violent extremists or identify individuals who may potentially become violent extremists, but to create conditions to build the defences of peace within learners through values, skills and behaviours that reject violent extremism, and by strengthening their commitment to non-violence and peace. This work is undertaken within the broader framework of Global Citizenship Education, where UNESCO leads implementation of Target 4.7 of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Education. The work undertaken in the field of Global Citizenship Education also embraces activities pertaining to human rights and peace education, Holocaust and genocide education, and activities to combat all forms of intolerance, racism and anti-Semitism.
