Second UNESCO Forum on Global Citizenship Education: building peaceful and sustainable societies: final report 出版年份: 2015 机构作者: UNESCO The Second UNESCO Forum on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) was organized in Paris from 28 to 30 January 2015 under the overall theme 'Building peaceful and sustainable societies: preparing for post-2015'. The Forum was organized in support of the UN Secretary General's Global Education First Initiative (GEFI) and on the occasion of UNESCO's 70th Anniversary. The Forum was organized by the Division for Teaching, Learning and Content, Educatio Sector, UNESCO, with the support of Austria, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Korea. Other partners also included the United Nations Secretary-General's Global Education First Initiative (GEFI), UNESCO's Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), UNESCO's Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) and the Learning Matrix Task Force. Some 250 participants from 61 countries from all regions of the world attended the Forum. These included decision-and policy-makers, practitioners, teachers, development partners, academics, the private sector, civil society representatives (national, regional and international level) as well as learners and youth representatives. The Forum was organized around three plenary sessions and 20 concurrent sessions. Topics under consideration included, among others, GCED in the post-2015 education agenda, measuring GCED learning outcomes, teaching practices, peace and human rights education, respect for diversity and inter-religious education, tackling discrimination and violence, education for sustainable development, youth involvement, the use of ICT and social media, and others. Global Citizenship Education: An Emerging Perspective 出版年份: 2014 机构作者: UNESCO This document draws on inputs to, and common perspectives emerging from, a Technical Consultation on Global Citizenship Education organized by UNESCO and the Republic of Korea (i.e., the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Education, and the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding) in Seoul on 9-10 September 2013 . Informing this draft document are: a) responses from the expert participants to a questionnaire circulated by UNESCO in advance of the consultation; b) presentations from experts during the consultation; c) discussions during the consultation; and d) reference material contributing to, and prepared for, the consultation. The final draft of this document was prepared by UNESCO’s Division of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development at Headquarters in Paris, with the assistance of a drafting team. Promotion and implementation of global citizenship education in crisis situations 出版年份: 2017 作者: Robiolle Moul, Tina 机构作者: UNESCO Crisis situations affect the realization of human rights of many people and communities across all regions of the world. Within UNESCO’s relevant areas of work, GCED is a powerful approach to education that can empower people to recover from crises and transform their communities into peaceful and sustainable societies. UNESCO commissioned a desk study that aimed at reviewing existing research on the promotion and implementation of GCED and related programs in countries affected by crisis situations, with particular attention to initiatives benefiting the refugee population. This study unveils the key challenges these programs encounter in such contexts, as well as promising practices that can guide the design and implementation of future GCED in crisis situations.This report is a synthesis of this desk study and supports the evidence that, after analyzing the context and the available means, GCED and related programs can and should be systematically adapted and implemented in crisis situations, including in response to refugee crises.
