Promoting Global Citizenship Education in Arab Universities: Proposals for Action 出版年份: 2022 作者: Ellen Middaugh 机构作者: UNESCO Beirut Higher education can play an important role in promoting Global Citizenship Education (GCED). It provides incentive, opportunity and support for young adults to learn about global issues, engage across diverse cultures, and practice the skills of GCED at a time of intensive personal, social, political and career exploration. Furthermore, universities can encourage students to take these skills and values into their adult lives to share with others and continue the lifelong process. Arab universities are very committed to GCED. However, the way GCED in concretely implemented needs improvement. While greater attention is paid to the cognitive domain of learning, the socio-emotional and behavioral domains of learning – which best lead to effective transformative engagement – tend to be left behind. Based on existing practices, this document provides universities, academia and students with concrete proposals on how to better mainstream GCED and its values, through higher education, in the Arab region.

The diverse governmental institutions concerned by the protection and the valuation of the patrimonial heritage, such as the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, set up several initiatives of cultural mediation for that purpose. Numerous reports and publications mention these data, but little is written on the important contribution of citizens and community organizations in the field of cultural mediation. Yet, the associative movement was always strong in Tunisia and has been strengthened increasingly since the revolution of 2010.From visits and from personal meetings held on the ground and completed by recent data gathered on the Web, on blogs, social media pages or also on professional Websites, we propose to examine the place of citizen participation in cultural mediation in Tunisia. We shall take, for that purpose, examples of concrete projects. Les diverses institutions gouvernementales concernées par la sauvegarde et la valorisation des richesses patrimoniales, telles que le ministère de la Culture et le ministère du Tourisme, ont mis en place plusieurs actions de médiation culturelle à cet effet. De nombreux rapports et publications mentionnent ces données mais l’on a peu écrit sur l’apport important des citoyens et des organisations communautaires à ce domaine de la médiation culturelle. Or le mouvement associatif a toujours été fort en Tunisie et il s’est renforcé depuis la révolution de 2010. À partir de visites et de rencontres personnelles effectuées sur le terrain et complétées par des données récentes colligées sur Internet – sur des blogues, des pages sociales ou des sites plus professionnels –, nous nous proposons d’examiner la place de la participation citoyenne dans la médiation culturelle en Tunisie. Nous prendrons à cet effet des exemples de projets concrets.

أثر تعليم اللغة الأجنبية على اللغة الأم 出版年份: 2021 作者: Fahad Al Haseen 机构作者: Thamar University يسعى هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن تأثيرات اللغات الأجنبية على اللغة الأم أو اللغة الأصلية في ضوء الدراسات التي أجريت في هذا المجال، ويتتبع أبعاد هذه المشكلة ودرجات تأثيرها من خلال استعراض تلك الدراسات واستقرائها، سواء تلك التي أكدت وجود تأثيرات لغوية عند الأطفال الذين يتعلمون لغة واحدة أو لغتين معا ، أم تلك الدراسات التي أثبتت خلاف ذلك. وقد اعتمد الباحث على بحثه على استقراء نتائج تلك الدراسات المنهج الاستقرائي الوصفي في تناوله لهذا الموضوع وركز جلَّ التي استعملت أسلوب المقارنة بين مستويات الأطفال الذين يدرسون لغة واحدة والأطفال الذين يدرسون لغتين، وبرز ذلك في مطلبين: الأول استعراض الدراسات العلمية التي أجريت على تأثير تعليم اللغة الأجنبية على اللغة الأم، والآخر عرض آراء علماء اللغة ومنظريها في ذلك التأثير؛ ليخرج البحث بعدة نتائج، أهمها عدم وجود تأثير سلبي على اللغة الأم في حال تعلم الطفل لغات أخرى عن عدم تأثير اللغات الأجنبية على الجوانب الأخرى المرتبطة بالمجتمعات ً أجنبية، فضال وخصائصها، كالهوية، والانتماء الديني وغيرها، بل إن الحاجة لمواكبة التطورات العلمية الحضارية تقتض ي الاهتمام باللغات الأجنبية وتعلمها للحاق برك بالتقدم العلمي، والتطور الحضاري. Effects of Foreign Language Teaching on Mother Tongue 出版年份: 2021 作者: Fahad Al Haseen 机构作者: Thamar University The present study aimed at identifying the effects of foreign language teaching on mother tongue in light of literature in the field. It followed the descriptive inductive research method by reviewing the results of the previous studies, either those which confirmed the presence of language effects on children who learn one language or two languages together or the studies which proved the opposite. This required reviewing literature on foreign language effects on mother tongue. Among the most important results of the present study were: teaching foreign languages did not negatively affect mother tongue, and teaching foreign languages did not negatively affect other aspects pertaining to the society and its characteristics such as identity and religious affiliation. Rather, the interest in foreign languages and learning them is essential for keeping pace with the scientific progress and recent developments in civilization.

Ministry of Education This guide has been prepared to assist schools in combating bullying among students, which has become prevalent in schools in different countries of the world, to a degree that calls for searching for solutions to this problem. Bullying may occur in simple cases that are controlled by the students themselves, and that these cases cause psychological and physical damage. There are number of students who find it difficult to handle the situation on their own, the school where bullying cases occur frequently becomes a stressful place for children, hindering their ability to learn greatly.
