Pursuant to 192 EX/Decision 20 (III), the Director-General hereby submits the consolidated report on the implementation by Member States of the Recommendation.Purpose: This document reports on the results of the Fifth Consultation on the Implementation of the Recommendation concerning Education for International Understanding, Cooperation and Peace and Education relating to Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (covering the period 2009-2012). The analysis was prepared on the basis of 55 national reports from Member States received by the Secretariat. 
Review of the Evidence on Sexuality Education: Report to Inform the Update of the UNESCO International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education 出版年份: 2018 作者: Paul Montgomery | Wendy Knerr 机构作者: UNESCO UNESCO published the International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education (ITGSE): An evidence-informed approach for schools, teachers and health educators, in 2009. It put forward the rationale for sexuality education, technical advice on characteristics of effective programmes, and topics and learning objectives to be covered in a ‘basic minimum package’ of sexuality education for children and young people aged 5–18+. Since the publication, UNESCO, several UNAIDS cosponsors and other international partners have advocated for ‘comprehensive sexuality education’ (CSE) for all adolescents and youth, and as an essential component of quality education.With the passage of time and the expanded understanding of the role of CSE, UNESCO sought to review the ITGSE with the aim of updating its content to reflect the evidence and lessons learned from implementing sexuality education programmes since 2009. UNESCO sought the technical services of a consultant team to conduct an evidence review to inform the update.This review would involve research on new evidence and good practice in sexuality education including evidence on the effectiveness of CSE and lessons documented through the implementation of sexuality education programmes to highlight benchmarks of quality CSE content and modalities of delivery. The research was also intended to make recommendations as to the: adequacy of existing content; presence of any gaps in this content; and evidence-based recommendations on how such content gaps can be addressed in the updated ITGSE.

Progress on Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education: Findings of the 6th Consultation on the Implementation of the 1974 Recommendation 出版年份: 2018 机构作者: UNESCO Findings of the 6th Consultation on the implementation of the 1974 Recommendation concerning Education for International Understanding, Co-operation and Peace and Education relating to Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (2012-2016) Progress on Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education “The Recommendation concerning Education for International Understanding, Co-operation and Peace and Education relating to Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms” was adopted by UNESCO’s General Conference at its 18th session in 1974. Every four years, Member States report to UNESCO on measures taken to implement the Recommendation in pre-primary, primary, secondary and post-secondary/tertiary education. This document summarizes and analyses the main findings of the 6th Consultation on the implementation of the 1974 Recommendation, covering the period of 2012 to 2016. The findings of the 6th Consultation provide important insight into how Member States are implementing the 1974 Recommendation as well as how they are progressing towards Target 4.7 of Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Education. Target 4.7 concerns Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education, which are closely related to the 1974 Recommendation. Supporting Member States in implementing Target 4.7 is a UNESCO priority and essential to progress across the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. A Post-GAP (Global Action Programme for ESD) Position Paper 出版年份: 2018 机构作者: UNESCO The 5-year cycle of the GAP is due to end in 2019. To build a post-GAP position, this draft position paper has been prepared. Once revised through the consultation processes planned in 2018, the final draft will be submitted in 2019 to the Governing Bodies of UNESCO and the UN for their respective approval processes. Once the position is approved, it will be summarised into a post-GAP programme and launched in 2020 for implementation onwards to 2030.
