Genocide Timeline Year of publication: 2024 Corporate author: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) This timeline proposed by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum shows the major conceptual and legal advances in the evolution of the term "genocide" . It does not seek to detail every case that could be considered genocide, but to show how the term has entered the political, legal and ethical vocabulary from 1900 to 2016 to express threats of violence against groups. 
Learn, Protect, Respect, Empower: The Status of Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Asia and the Pacific; A Summary Review 2020 Year of publication: 2021 Corporate author: United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) | UNESCO | International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) More than half of the world’s 1.8 billion young people aged 10–24 live in the Asia and Pacific region1 and a majority of them live in low and middle-income countries. In spite of their diverse socio-economic contexts, young people across this vast region commonly face limited access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information and services, including age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education. Of the 13 million adolescent girls globally with an unmet need for contraception, approximately half live in Asia-Pacific, leading to an estimated 3.7 million births to adolescent girls in the region annually. In addition, around 82,000 young people are infected with HIV each year in the region. As adolescents transition through to adulthood, it is crucial that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills to support their health and wellbeing, regardless of age, sex, marital status, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity. School-based and age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) is an effective means of reaching a large population of children and young people, particularly where rates of school participation are high. This overview of the status of in-school CSE in Asia and the Pacific provides a strong evidence base on the reach and impact of this across the region. Importantly, post COVID-19 we need to build back CSE programmes that are better and stronger to meet the social and emotional needs of our young people. 
Advancing Digital Equity for All: Community-Based Recommendations for Developing Effective Digital Equity Plans to Close the Digital Divide and Enable Technology-Empowered Learning Year of publication: 2022 Corporate author: USA. Office of Educational Technology In spring 2022, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology (OET) committed to advancing digital equity through the Digital Equity Education Roundtables (DEER) Initiative. Through DEER, OET hosted a series of national conversations with leaders from community-based organizations, as well as families and learners furthest from digital opportunities. The “Advancing Digital Equity for All” resource illuminates insights from these conversation to highlight the barriers faced by learner communities and promising solutions for increasing access to technology for learning.The historic federal investments authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act offer critical opportunities for broadband planning that can identify and equitably address the various availability, affordability, and adoption challenges described. Using this guidance resource as a starting point, it is essential that leaders collaborate with those most impacted by the digital divide to develop comprehensive digital equity plans that outline strategies to meet the needs of learners, their families/caregivers, and communities effectively and sustainably.

Political Participation of Young People in Kazakhstan: The Role of Digital Technologies Year of publication: 2022 Corporate author: Paperlab Research Center (Kazakhstan) At the end of July, the PaperLab Research Center held a discussion on "Political participation of youth in Kazakhstan: the role of digital technologies". Experts say that after the January events, Kazakhstanis became more interested in politics. But the real political participation of young people is still limited. 
Methodology: Using Digital Media for Youth Engagement and Active Citizenship Year of publication: 2017 Corporate author: Yep4Europe Consortium The training methodology “Find-Tell-Act” is the main output of the Youth e-Perspectives on Migration project. The project aimed at empowering young people to address sensitive contemporary societal issues (in our case migration and the refugee crisis) and at the same time to improve their digital and media skills. In this way, digital and technical skills developed in parallel with social values like active citizenship.The main part of the methodology is, implemented as face-to-face activities. It includes four interrelated digital media modules (or as we call them, workshops): Digital Journalism, Digital Photography, Digital Storytelling and Online Platforms, in which refugee crisis was our main theme. The methodology can be applied to any other “hot” societal topic that young people are faced with. 
Advancing a Just Energy Transition in Central Asia: Women’s Key Role in the Energy Sector Year of publication: 2024 Corporate author: Организация по безопасности и сотрудничеству в Европе (ОБСЕ) | Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) The OSCE study analyzes the socio-economic benefits of the energy transition for the five OSCE participating States in the region. It provides specific considerations for the strategic development of an appropriately skilled labour force and also contains critical yet unpublished data on the job creation potential of renewable energy in each Central Asian country. 
Gender Equality: A Large-Scale Study by the UN and the Government of Kazakhstan Year of publication: 2024 Corporate author: Организация Объединённых Наций (ООН) Women in Kazakhstan have enough rights and opportunities – 73% of the country's male population believes so. Among women, about 58 percent of participants in a large-scale sociological study on gender equality, which was recently conducted in Kazakhstan with the support of the UN Women structure and the UN Development Program. 
Combating Violence Against Women in Central Asia: New Laws, Old Practices Year of publication: 2021 Corporate author: Paperlab Research Center (Kazakhstan) The problem of violence against women is still acute in Central Asian countries. According to the UN, 18% of women from the countries of this region reported that they had personally experienced domestic violence and discrimination. At the PaperLab online discussion platform, experts and researchers, together with representatives of civil society and government agencies, discussed the topic of combating gender-based violence in the context of legislative and programmatic measures that are being implemented in Central Asian countries.
