La flor más grande del mundo: Guía de recurso Année de publication: 2023 Auteur institutionnel: Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) The creation of a pedagogical resource for Education for Global Citizenship, based on the story “The Largest Flower in the World”, written by José Saramago, arose on the occasion of the Commemorations of the Centennial of the Birth of José Saramago 2021-2022, as part of the activities of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) in Portugal and was promoted by the José Saramago Foundation (FJS) and the General Directorate of Education (DGE). To carry out the project, an alliance was made with Help Images, which produced the four videos that accompany the proposal. The activities aim to support the work of teachers, educators and animators within the framework of formal and non-formal education, in the construction of learning for a committed, coherent, supportive and respectful global citizenship of human rights, crossing the experiences of the students with the themes and contents presented in this proposal.

Citizen Academy is an initiative led by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) with the Panamanian Debate Association (ASPADE) and the Eduardo Morgan Foundation (FUNDAMORGAN). Within the Citizen Academy Program, various initiatives have been developed, all focused on the importance of citizen participation and the development of skills that contribute to the personal and professional growth of the participants. In this manual, teachers and trainers will be able to find a roadmap to learn and teach their students about: i) citizenship skills, ii) debate and democracy, iii) culture of legality, iv) good governance, v) human rights , vi) equity and diversity and vii) peaceful conflict resolution and the ImPacta methodology. La multiplication des conflits armés et le choc du 7 octobre ont également eu des conséquences dramatiques. Cependant, quelques bonnes nouvelles sont aussi à noter, avec des avancées pour les droits des personnes LGBTI par exemple. TheNGO's teams of journalists and investigators paint a rather gloomy picture, with, in particular, a decline in women's rights, the dramatic consequences of global warming on the most vulnerable populations, a decline in the right to protest, and the proliferation of online hate around the world. The multiplication of armed conflicts and the shock of October 7 have also had dramatic consequences. Survey on Privacy in Media and Information Literacy with Youth Perspectives Année de publication: 2017 Auteur: Sherri Hope Culver | Alton Grizzle Auteur institutionnel: UNESCO Media and information literate individuals are more empowered to make informed decisions about their privacy online and offline, among other things. Accordingly, governments and policy-makers who are committed to ensuring that the privacy of citizens is respected should also be committed to media and information literacy (MIL) for all. If they are not, then their efforts will be less sustainable. Equally, private and public enterprises that genuinely want to respect the privacy of citizens should purposefully contribute to MIL awareness among users qua citizens. Two research surveys are referenced in this report. The first investigated youth attitudes towards MIL and social and democratic discourses. One of the seven themes addressed in the context of social and democratic discourses was privacy. The research was carried out by UNESCO. The second survey studied privacy in MIL courses globally and was conducted for UNESCO by the UNESCO-UNAOC University Network on Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural dialogue (MILID Network), and members of the Global Alliance for Partnerships in Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL). The report responds to UNESCO’s efforts to stimulate global research into privacy in MIL. Ultimately, this report aims to provide conceptual, development and policy recommendations to foster privacy in MIL, while enabling the critical engagement of people, including young women and men, in an environment conducive to sustainable development and to freedom of expression online and offline. It seeks to provide clarity on the complex issue of how MIL and privacy intersect.
