The Fourth International Forum to Promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Année de publication: 2019 Auteur institutionnel: Regional Network for Social Responsibility This forum was organized in the Kingdom of Bahrain with the aim of shedding light on the sustainable development goals 2030, which was launched by the United Nations in 2015. Now, in only a short period of time, the COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed an unprecedented crisis, causing further disruption to SDG progress, with the world’s poorest and most vulnerable affected the most.Using the latest data and estimates, this annual stocktaking report on progress across the 17 Goals shows that it is the poorest and most vulnerable – including children, older persons, persons with disabilities, migrants and refugees – who are being hit the hardest by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Women are also bearing the heaviest brunt of the pandemic’s effects.The report also shows that climate change is still occurring much faster than anticipated.

Ministry of Planning This national review is part of the first National Voluntary Report (NVR) as a national effort and a necessary step to monitor the progress toward the SDFs, using a participatory approach and assisted by national consultations (workshops and forums) organized in various Iraqi areas to discuss the development challenges facing Iraq in the upcoming stages. The Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) constitute a key tool to monitor the progress of the National Development Plan (NDP) and promote it locally. The VNRs also contribute to presenting the country’s experience, expertise and lessons to be shared with other countries.

Elle cherche à reformuler la compréhension traditionnelle de l’éducation aux compétences de vie et à la citoyenneté dans la région, tout en rappelant les questions fondamentales au sujet du but et du rôle de l’éducation dans le développement sociétal qui sont pertinentes dans le contexte actuel.L’Initiative LSCE se concentre sur trois défis interdépendants :Une société du savoir inaccessible, résultat de la mauvaise qualité de l’éducation, du bas niveau des résultats scolaires et d’une équité et inclusion limitées.Une croissance économique en déclin, résultat d’un manque d’aptitudes à l’employabilité, du haut taux de chômage chez les jeunes, de l’inégalité des sexes face à l’accès au marché du travail, du manque de création d’emplois, et d’un environnement économique faible.Une faible cohésion sociale, résultat de l’escalade de la violence et de la radicalisation tout autant que d’un faible engagement civique.
