Europe and North America Regional GCED Network Meeting: Final Report (21-22 November 2018, Lisbon, Portugal) Année de publication: 2018 Auteur institutionnel: APCEIU This meeting report is for the meeting, held on 21-22 November 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, which aimed to strengthen global action on Global Citizenship Education. The event was jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) under the auspices of UNESCO, the UNESCO Venice Office and ANGEL project partners GENE.The meeting brought together over 50 GCED-related stakeholders, including those from academia, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), intergovernmental organizations, ministries, and the National Commissions for UNESCO. The meeting featured a range of presentations and reflections from partners and provided a platform to discuss action to strengthen GCED networking strategies within and beyond the region. It also offered participants the opportunity to share experiences, insights and knowledge with one another, and encouraged them to explore areas of collaboration in the future. 
Uzbekistan: Country Gender Assessment Update Année de publication: 2018 Auteur institutionnel: Asian Development Bank (ADB) This Country Gender Update Report, prepared by ADB in close collaboration with Uzbekistan Women Committee, provides an analysis of the socio-economic dimensions of gender equality in Uzbekistan. It embraces a wide a range of issues related to the empowerment of women by increasing their economic activity in various sectors. Recommendations from the assessment can be used in the development of a long-term strategy of KJU and ADB, including programs aimed at increasing the employment and income of women, supporting their entrepreneurial initiatives, combating traditional gender stereotypes to further enhance the role and status of women in the country as a whole. Узбекистан: Обновленная гендерная оценка по стране Année de publication: 2018 Auteur institutionnel: Asian Development Bank (ADB) Настоящий отчет по Обновленной гендерной оценке по стране, подготовленный АБР в тесном сотрудничестве с Комитетом женщин Узбекистана (КЖУ), содержит анализ социально-экономических аспектов гендерного равенства в Узбекистане. В нем охвачен широкий круг вопросов, связанных с расширением возможностей женщин путем повышения их экономической активности в различных секторах. Рекомендации, выработанные по результатам проведенной оценки, могут быть использованы при разработке долгосрочной стратегии КЖУ и АБР, включая программы, направленные на повышение уровня занятости и доходов женщин, поддержку их предпринимательских инициатив, борьбу с традиционными гендерными стереотипами для дальнейшего повышения роли и статуса женщин в целом по стране. 
Evaluation of UNESCO’s Action to Prevent Violent Extremism Année de publication: 2020 Auteur institutionnel: UNESCO Internal Oversight Service (IOS) The purpose of this evaluation was twofold. To provide evidence, ideas and insights on how UNESCO’s efforts on PVE in the period from 2015-2018 have contributed to enhancing UNESCO’s action and position in the PVE sphere in light of the decisions of Member States. And to provide evidence and formulate lessons learned and good practices on the intersectoral approach with the aim of informing what works and what does not work in intersectoral cooperation.The evaluation found that UNESCO’s work on PVE was context specific and adjusted to respond to the needs of the countries and sub-regions where the work was being implemented.UNESCO’s work is aligned with the agency’s mandate and expertise and makes the most of its strong relationships with government bodies and civil society actors. UNESCO’s work on PVE has led to positive results around the quality, use and effectiveness of guidance documents, around capacity building of UNESCO partners and stakeholders, and around the provision of expertise and policy advice both at national and global level. Using an intersectoral approach led to an increase in information sharing and coordination. However, this was not always translated to intersectoral implementation or delivery of PVE initiatives.

Youth-Led Roadmap for Gender Equality: A Plan to Achieve Sustainable Development Goal 5 in Canada Année de publication: 2019 Auteur institutionnel: Plan International Canada | Canadian Teachers’ Federation The uniquely youth-led Roadmap – launched at the Women Deliver 2019 Global Conference in Vancouver, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. It reflects the powerful perspectives of over 300 youth from all over Canada with diverse experiences and backgrounds, such as youth who have experienced homelessness, Indigenous youth, young people of colour, newcomers to Canada and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, among others, as well as individuals from remote and rural communities in Canada.The Roadmap includes 20 recommendations that individual Canadians can take today to achieve gender equality within their homes, communities and beyond. It also includes more than 40 additional recommendations targeted at public institutions, the private sector and governments to help Canada achieve Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender equality, by the goals’ end date of 2030.

In the second section, it shows the framework to implement GCED in schools, which will serve as the foundation for a whole school approach to the integration of a GCED perspective in curricula, lesson plans and broader school and community activities. It also gives some selected resources and examples in section three.
