The first has to do with the relevance or impertinence of a program to record the narratives of our original peoples about the origins and trajectories of humanity. In relation to this first point, they are interested in proposing the bases for an emancipatory approach, that is, counter-hegemonic, of the original narratives. The second question asks about the consequences that it has, for the self-understanding of the crises and tensions of current societies, to highlight non-Western conceptions of human origins and trajectories. La primera tiene que ver con la pertinencia o impertinencia de un programa de registro de las narrativas de nuestros pueblos originarios sobre los orígenes y trayectorias de la humanidad. Les interesa, en relación con este primer punto, proponer las bases para un abordaje emancipatorio, es decir, contrahegemónico, de las narrativas originarias. La segunda cuestión se interroga por las consecuencias que tiene, para la autocomprensión de las crisis y tensiones de las sociedades actuales, poner en evidencia concepciones no occidentales de los orígenes y las trayectorias humanas.

On the other hand, this new Editorial Series, open to social movements, platforms of struggle, academic groups, collaboration networks, public policy makers, citizens of all of our Latin America and the Caribbean and other latitudes of the global South, combines a multiplicity of edges, perspectives and approaches. This volume comes to occupy a vacant place in critical studies on disability in Latin America, which is to record the struggles for the rights of these people in our region. Introducing a historical problematization in this regard not only has an epistemological and political relevance, but also makes a contribution to the present and to contemporary disability policies.

Podemos en realidad estar lejos de los lugares donde el genocidio contra el pueblo judío fue perpetrado, pero también América Latina está todavía haciéndose cargo de su propio pasado de violencia y crímenes contra la humanidad. Con esta publicación, los educadores latinoamericanos van a tener al alcance de la mano un recuento actualizado de los temas más destacados que se discuten sobre pedagogía y construcción de políticas. También podrán explorar cómo, todavía hoy en Europa, la educación sobre el Holocausto da forma a una cultura de la memoria. Por otra parte, pueden ver cómo en otros lugares la memoria del Holocausto puede ser un punto de partida para relacionarse con otros pasados difíciles. La UNESCO está convencida de que la prevención del genocidio comienza en la escuela. Ministerio de Educación The publication that we deliver contains some of the main papers and reflections emanating from the VII Conference on Educational Cooperation with Ibero-America on Special Education and Educational Inclusion, organized by the Ministry of Education of Spain and the Regional Office of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean ( OREALC / UNESCO Santiago). This publication has the inclusion in secondary education as a central theme, since it was the axis of the VII Conference. It is a particularly critical issue in our region since it establishes the minimum level necessary to escape poverty, to access decent employment and to exercise citizenship. However, access to secondary education is still very low in some countries and is especially low in the case of the most vulnerable populations, being those who most require access to this level of studies to overcome their situation of inequality.
