20 ans de l’INEE : Réalisations et Défis dans l’Éducation en Situations d’Urgence Année de publication: 2020 Auteur institutionnel: Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) Ce rapport, qui marque le 20e anniversaire de l’INEE, souligne les réalisations dans le domaine de l’ESU au cours des deux dernières décennies et identifie les défis permanents. Il retrace les changements qui ont amené l’ESU dans les programmes mondiaux de planification et d’action et note les étapes clés du développement de l’ESU en tant que domaine reconnu. Reconnaissant également les engagements énoncés dans l’Agenda 2030 pour le développement durable, notamment la promesse de veiller à ce que « personne ne soit laissé de côté » (ONU, 2015), ce rapport se tourne vers l’avenir en recommandant des actions immédiates et durables pour atteindre l’Objectif de Développement Durable 4 (ODD 4), une éducation de qualité et des possibilités de formations permanente inclusives et équitables pour tous - incluant les enfants et les jeunes dans les contextes de crise (ONU, 2015).

This is according to a new UNICEF report about the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on education. The report also finds that COVID-19 has further widened the education gaps between rich and poor families in Latin America and the Caribbean. New UNICEF data shows that the percentage of children not receiving any form of education across the region has soared dramatically, from 4 to 18 per cent in the past few months. UN projections reveal that COVID-19 may push up to 3 million additional children out of school in Latin America and the Caribbean. A Greener, Fairer Future: Why Leaders Need to Invest in Climate and Girls’ Education Année de publication: 2021 Auteur: Lucia Fry | Philippa Lei Auteur institutionnel: Malala Fund This report estimates that in 2021 climate-related events will prevent at least four million girls in low- and lower-middle-income countries from completing their education. If current trends continue, by 2025 climate change will be a contributing factor in preventing at least 12.5 million girls from completing their education each year. Yet evidence shows that closing gender gaps in education can help countries better adapt to the effects of climate change and decrease the rate and impact of global warming. This report recommends how leaders can take urgent climate action at meetings this year, like COP26. It includes reducing carbon emissions, improving girls’ access to education, helping communities adapt to the realities of climate change and transforming education systems to provide all students with the knowledge, skills and values needed to challenge the social and economic inequalities fuelling the climate crisis.

노년층 미디어교육 활성화 방안 Année de publication: 2019 Auteur: 조재희 | 나은영 | 이혜선 Auteur institutionnel: 한국언론진흥재단 미디어 생태계가 급격히 변하고 있는 현대 사회에서 미디어 소수자들에 대한 디지털 격차는 여전히 확장되고 있다. 특히 환경의 변화에 유연하게 적응하기 어려운 노년층들은 이러한 미디어 생태계 변화에 적절히 대처하기 어려우며 이로 인해 디지털 격차를 겪게 된다. 이에 미디어 소수자로서의 노년층에 대한 미디어교육의 필요성이 강조되고 있고 정부와 지자체를 비롯한 다양한 기관에서 노년층을 대상으로 미디어교육을 실시하고 있다.본 연구는 다양한 방법론을 통해 노인 미디어교육을 활성화시키기 위한 방안을 다각도로 탐색해 보았다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 노년층에 특화된 미디어교육 프로그램을 개발하고 진행하기 위한 실질적인 제언을 줄 수 있으며 노인 미디어교육 활성화를 위한 정책 마련을 위해 고려해야 하는 구체적인 사항들을 제시한다.

Home to more than half of the region’s population, Arab cities have transformed into heterogeneous spaces that host diverse identities, cultures, and ethnicities. In order for this transformation to lead to prosperity, city officials must adopt a rights-based, human-centred approach, and implement inclusive policies and measures that provide equal opportunities for all.In this context, the Toolkit for Urban Inclusion in Arab Cities provides Arab city leaders and local government officials with practical tools and advice to guide their efforts towards establishing inclusive and sustainable cities. The Toolkit is based on the real experiences and practices of cities members of the Coalition of Arab Cities against Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Intolerance in planning, implementing and evaluating programs and projects that promote urban inclusion and combat exclusion in all its forms.The Toolkit focuses on four topics of high priority to the Arab Coalition member cities: public participation, access to information, sport for youth inclusion, and citizenship and human rights education.
