Preventing violent extremism through education Année de publication: 2016 Auteur institutionnel: Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Foundation for Peace This UNESCO video illustrates the importance of preventing violent extremism through education. It is based on excerpts from “My Former Life”, produced by the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, based on testimonies of people once engaged in promoting or perpetrating extreme violence. This video also draws attention to some of the drivers of violent extremism, to the role of education in preventing violent extremism and to educational approaches recommended by UNESCO. 
UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education: Call for Nominations 2018 Année de publication: 2018 Auteur institutionnel: UNESCO The UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education honours outstanding and innovative practices advancing girls’ and women’s education, and in turn, improving the quality of their lives. Established in 2015, it is funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and consists of two US $50,000 awards to help further the work of laureates in this field. The Prize directly contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5. Crée en 2015, il est financé par le gouvernement de la République populaire de Chine et consiste de deux prix de 50 000 dollars des États-Unis afin d’aider les lauréats à poursuivre leur travail dans ce domaine. Youth Employment in the Mediterranean: Improving Skills Anticipation and TVET Systems Année de publication: 2018 Auteur institutionnel: European Union (EU) The Youth Employment in the Mediterranean (YEM) project is a three-year regional initiative launched by UNESCO, to be implemented in collaboration with nine Member States from 2018 to 2020. The YEM project is funded by the European Union and aims to improve skills anticipation systems and to promote technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Its goal is also to strengthen youth employment and encourage entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean region.
