Global Citizenship Education: A Guide for Trainers 발행 연도: 2018 단체 저자: APCEIU APCEIU has published Global Citizenship Education: A Guide for Trainers in order to aid trainers to conduct introductory workshops for educators on Global Citizenship Education (GCED). Designed as a training manual for trainers, the Guide offers overview of GCED, including backgrounds and core concepts as well as pedagogical principles, but also provides guidelines on the workshop design and facilitation. Consisting of five chapters, the Guide first introduces the rise of GCED within the latest shift in education and global development agendas. Under this framework, the next chapter explores the meanings of a ‘global citizen’ and ‘global citizenship,’ and introduces key concepts and principles of GCED. The next two chapters deal with how to teach GCED, presenting topic areas and themes as well as pedagogies and strategies. Europe and North America Regional GCED Network Meeting: Final Report (21-22 November 2018, Lisbon, Portugal) 발행 연도: 2018 단체 저자: APCEIU This meeting report is for the meeting, held on 21-22 November 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, which aimed to strengthen global action on Global Citizenship Education. The event was jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) under the auspices of UNESCO, the UNESCO Venice Office and ANGEL project partners GENE.The meeting brought together over 50 GCED-related stakeholders, including those from academia, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), intergovernmental organizations, ministries, and the National Commissions for UNESCO. The meeting featured a range of presentations and reflections from partners and provided a platform to discuss action to strengthen GCED networking strategies within and beyond the region. It also offered participants the opportunity to share experiences, insights and knowledge with one another, and encouraged them to explore areas of collaboration in the future.
A Study on the Status of Implementation of Global Citizenship Education in Lifelong Education in South Korea 발행 연도: 2019 단체 저자: APCEIU The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding published a report titled "A Study on the Status of Implementation of Global Citizenship Education in Lifelong Education in South Korea". In the recognition of the need for an analysis on the status of implementation for the effective and systematic implementation of Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in the Republic of Korea, APCEIU conducted a study on the status of the implementation of GCED embedded in the curriculum of primary and secondary schools in 2018. As a follow-up study, this research paper examines the practice of civic education in the field of lifelong learning for adults and the formation, status and implementation process of GCED in which it appears and explores the potential for activation.
Global Citizenship Education: A Handbook for Parents, Community and Learners in Asia-Pacific 발행 연도: 2023 저자: Darla K. To achieve this, parents, caregivers and the community will need to be empowered with the necessary GCED knowledge and skills too. In this handbook, GCED related concepts are introduced, alongside adaptable step-by-step action plans and best practices collected across the Asia-Pacific region to support parents and the community to take action in developing GCED competences in learners.
21st Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU GCED Mentorship Programme - Final Report 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: APCEIU This report summarizes 18 GCED projects implemented in the Asia-Pacific region by the alumni of APCEIU’s 21st Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU/GCED (2022).The Mentorship Programme consisted of two tracks.1) Track A: Individual Mentorship with APCEIU’s expert groups (Concretizing the GCED project with guidance from mentors)2) Track B: Developing GCED Training Programme using Design Thinking Strategy with APCEIU & Habi Education LabAsia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU/GCED (APTW) is APCEIU’s flagship TOT (Training of Trainers) programme for educators and teacher trainers in the Asia-Pacific region, which benefitted more than 600 educators over the last 22 years. Since 2021, it has been shifted to a comprehensive training programme composed of online training workshops, mentorship, and local project implementation to further empower participants to bring changes in their local communities.In 2022, marking its 21st turn, APTW was virtually held from 30 May to 7 June with 52 passionate educators from 19 UNESCO member states in the Asia-Pacific region. This year with the theme of ‘Preparing educators for a post-pandemic world: GCED as a key to change’, the Workshop provided opportunities to explore the timely issues and pedagogies to prepare educators for the post-pandemic world.
평생교육 내 세계시민교육 이행현황 연구 발행 연도: 2019 단체 저자: 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원 유네스코 아태교육원은 “국내 평생교육 내 세계시민교육 이행현황 연구” 보고서를 발간하였다. 동 교육원은 국내 세계시민교육의 효과적이고 체계적인 이행을 위해서는 이행현황 분석연구가 필요함을 인식하여, 2018년에는 유ㆍ초중등학교 교육과정에 담긴 세계시민교육의 국내 이행현황을 연구하였다. 본 연구보고서는 이 작업에 대한 후속 연구로서 성인을 대상으로 하는 평생교육 영역에서의 시민교육 실천양상 및 그 안에서 나타나는 세계시민교육의 형성, 현황 및 이행과정을 검토하고 잠재적 활성화 가능성에 대해 탐색한다.
