It seeks to reformulate traditional understandings of life skills and citizenship education in the region, while recalling fundamental questions about the purpose and role of education in societal development that are relevant to the current context.The LSCE Initiative focuses on three inter-locking challenges:An elusive knowledge society, as a result of poor quality of education, low levels of learning outcomes, and limited equity and inclusion.Declining economic growth, as a result of a lack of employability skills, high youth unemployment rates, gender disparities in accessing the labour market, lack of job creation, and a weak business environment.Weak social cohesion, as a result of mounting violence and radicalization as well as weak civic engagement.

2030 지속가능개발목표(SDGs)실천 방안 연구: 교육 분야를 중심으로 발행 연도: 2016 저자: 안혜정 | 서예원 | 윤종혁 | 김은영 | 염후남 | 박환보 | 최동주 | 김명진 | 이정화 단체 저자: 한국교육개발원 이 연구는 새천년개발목표(MDGs)의 이행종료와 더불어 향후 2030년까지 국제사회가 함께 성취해야 할 개발목표로 채택된 지속가능개발목표(SDGs) 중 네 번째 목표인 교육 목표(SDG 4)의 전략적 실천방안을 마련하기 위하여 수행되었다. 현 정부는 “ODA 지속 확대 및 모범적･통합적 개발협력 추진”을 국정과제로 삼고, 개도국 소녀교육 및 아프리카 직업/ICT 교육을 포함한 4대 구상을 선정하는 등 교육 분야 개발협력의 중요성과 필요성을 강조한 바 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 우리나라 교육개발협력 사업의 현황과 수행주체별 참여 실태 및 인식 조사를 토대로 실효성 있는 정책방안을 도출하고 SDG 4의 실천 방안을 제시하였다.

Citizenship and Lifelong Learning Monitor 2018 발행 연도: 2019 저자: Sara Gharsalli 단체 저자: SOLIDAR Foundation This Monitor is a contribution to further examine the relationship between citizenship and lifelong learning experiences and policy outcomes in and outside of the classroom in various European countries. Mapping the different approaches that SOLIDAR Foundation members have taken in promoting EU values in relation to citizenship education and lifelong learning for greater democratic participation of citizens, the outcomes will be disseminated towards European and national policy-makers and offers an array of best practices to collect, use and transfer among networks. The SOLIDAR Education and Lifelong Learning Forum will further work on the topic and develop a long term sustainable advocacy strategy for CSOs towards national and EU-wide authorities to influence the debate and revision of national curricula and education systems.

These Guidelines provide a hands-on approach aiming to assist in the review of national education legal and policy frameworks in view of: Developing practical knowledge on the right to education based on the Right to education handbook and supporting capacity development Providing operational tools to assess the status of the right to education at country level and its compatibility with international and regional human rights obligations and international commitments (notably SDG 4) Identifying legal and policy gaps in education at country level and resulting challenges Making recommendations for the full alignment of national constitutions, legislation , singular and policies with international standards and provisions Providing insights on how to implement the recommendations in view of necessary reforms.

Peacebuilding In Scenes of Violence Intracommunity: Sierra de la Macarena Case Study (Meta-Colombia) 발행 연도: 2017 저자: Keren Xiomara Marín Gonzales 단체 저자: Universidad de Antioquia After the signing of the peace accords between the national government and the FARC-EP one of the main challenges for the country is the construction of peace in the territories, especially in those places where violence has been political and intracommunitarian To explore the challenges that this type of violence poses in transition and post-conflict scenarios, this article analyzes local dynamics violence and the various victimization processes that arise within the communities. For this, some cases and testimonies collected in a ethnographic work carried out in the Sierra de la Macarena, department of Meta, Colombia, in which the dynamics of community violence and its effects on the social fabric of the communities. Based on these considerations, some limits that peacebuilding faces in this region and it is proposed as an alternative, the articulation between transitional justice and local justice to deal with these scenarios of violence.
