Internationalization in Basic Education: Languages of Reality(Revista iberoamericana de educación; vol. 93, no. 1) 발행 연도: 2023 저자: Vera Lucia Felicetti | Vanessa Gabrielle Woicolesco 단체 저자: Revista Iberoamericana de Educación The presence of internationalization practices in Basic Education schools has been quietly taking shape on the national, Ibero-American and international stage, but the absence of records of the actions that characterize them as internationalization continues to be a gap in their understanding. From these silent practices of internationalization we see the potential to build knowledge while respecting the interculturality that permeates the educational space. In this sense, we must recognize and understand these practices as internationalization processes, with a view to debating and reflecting on how they can contribute to the improvement of the educational system from an Ibero-American perspective. A partir de estas prácticas silenciosas de internacionalización vemos el potencial para construir el conocimiento respetando la interculturalidad que impregna el espacio educativo. En este sentido, debemos reconocer y entender estas prácticas como procesos de internacionalización, con vistas a debatir y reflexionar sobre cómo pueden contribuir a la mejora del sistema educativo desde una perspectiva iberoamericana.

It influences all aspects of our daily lives and our overall prospects while being impacted by our health and environment. In the global landscape of worsening climate change, democratic backsliding, persistent inequalities, rising discrimination, hate speech, violence and conflict, it can be a tool to address and prevent these problems in the future. And it can also be a long-term investment with increasing returns if shaped and deployed effectively. The Elusive and Exclusive Global Citizen 발행 연도: 2015 저자: Jill Koyama 단체 저자: Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) In this paper, the author interrogate the notion of global citizenship, both as an aspiration and an improbable practice, by situating it within contemporary understandings of citizenship and globalization.It is a conceptualization that suffers from the dangers inherent in the term “citizenship” and misconceptions of the terms “global,” and it is rooted in the West’s long engagement in normative undertakings in non-Western countries. The writer refute ideas of the autonomous and agentic global citizen. he encourage a rethinking of global citizenship and global citizenship education (GCE) and offer recommendations for redirecting attention to contemporary global stratifications and issues of human rights to address the issues of social justice and inequality that, due to the problematic definition of global citizenship, are currently inadequately covered in existing GCE curricula. 
Global Education Monitoring Report 2023: Technology in Education; A Tool on Whose Terms? 발행 연도: 2023 단체 저자: UNESCO | Global Education Monitoring Report Team This report recommends that technology should be introduced into education on the basis of evidence showing that it would be appropriate, equitable, scalable and sustainable. In other words, its use should be in learners’ best interests and should complement face-to-face interaction with teachers. It should be seen as a tool to be used on these terms. Midway to the deadline, the 2023 Global Education Monitoring Report assesses the distance still to go to reach the 2030 education targets. Education is the key to unlocking the achievement of other development objectives, not least the goal of technological progress. 
International Trends of Lifelong Learning in Higher Education: Research Report 발행 연도: 2023 단체 저자: UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) | Shanghai Open University Against the background of a global education crisis and a growing recognition of the importance of lifelong learning, the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) and the Shanghai Open University (SOU) conducted a comprehensive research project from 2020 to 2022 that included, among other components, an international survey on the contribution of higher education institutions to lifelong learning, the results of which are presented in this report. Based on the comprehensive sets of quantitative and qualitative data collected across all world regions, this research constitutes a major step forward in building an international knowledge base on the role of HEIs in establishing lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The multiplication of armed conflicts and the shock of October 7 have also had dramatic consequences. Survey on Privacy in Media and Information Literacy with Youth Perspectives 발행 연도: 2017 저자: Sherri Hope Culver | Alton Grizzle 단체 저자: UNESCO Media and information literate individuals are more empowered to make informed decisions about their privacy online and offline, among other things. Accordingly, governments and policy-makers who are committed to ensuring that the privacy of citizens is respected should also be committed to media and information literacy (MIL) for all. If they are not, then their efforts will be less sustainable. Equally, private and public enterprises that genuinely want to respect the privacy of citizens should purposefully contribute to MIL awareness among users qua citizens. Two research surveys are referenced in this report. The first investigated youth attitudes towards MIL and social and democratic discourses. One of the seven themes addressed in the context of social and democratic discourses was privacy. The research was carried out by UNESCO. The second survey studied privacy in MIL courses globally and was conducted for UNESCO by the UNESCO-UNAOC University Network on Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural dialogue (MILID Network), and members of the Global Alliance for Partnerships in Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL). The report responds to UNESCO’s efforts to stimulate global research into privacy in MIL. Ultimately, this report aims to provide conceptual, development and policy recommendations to foster privacy in MIL, while enabling the critical engagement of people, including young women and men, in an environment conducive to sustainable development and to freedom of expression online and offline. It seeks to provide clarity on the complex issue of how MIL and privacy intersect.
