In this guide we aim to offer some keys to working against hate speech in and through the educational field, understanding that prevention is essential to ending it. Its objective is to provide teachers with very practical and useful strategies to effectively manage coexistence in the classroom. It is a proposal to address coexistence from a preventive, participatory and people-centered dimension, which conceives coexistence not only as an objective but as an object of intentional learning, which perceives conflict as an opportunity and with an inclusive and restorative perspective, betting on a restorative approach. In the guide you can find practical activities, the purpose of which is to guide educational centers to know and implement the restorative model, through a series of resources that range from the analysis of coexistence to restorative conversations to resolve daily conflicts. Media and Information Literacy (MIL) has become an essential competency, enabling them to critically navigate the overwhelming ow of information in our fast-paced and complex information ecosystem. \With the Internet user base getting younger every day — data shows that one in three internet users is a child — countries worldwide are increasingly working on integrating MIL into their education systems. Despite these advancements, many young people still grapple with challenges such as disinformation, hate speech, and other harmful online content. Additionally, new technologies continue to emerge, creating challenges with unknown impacts. For example, 80% of young people aged 10 to 24 use AI multiple times a day for education, entertainment, and other purposes. Global youth organizations are at the forefront of UNESCO’s eorts to promote MIL among young people through informal education. This toolkit serves as a primary resource to help these organizations incorporate MIL into their strategies, policies, and operations, aiming to make MIL a lasting component of their practices and peer-to-peer educational programs. Solidarity as the Future of Education: Perspectives From the Ibero-American Experience of Service-Learning 出版年份: 2024 作者: Elena Massat 机构作者: UNESCO | Latin American Center for Service-Learning (CLAYSS) With this work we have proposed to put into dialogue the recent UNESCO document “Reimagining our futures together. A new social contract for education. Report of the international commission on the futures of education” with the theory and practice of service-learning in Ibero-America. We would like to show how UNESCO's proposal for education for the future can already be verified as a practice in many educational institutions in the region, which develop solidarity service-learning projects even in the most vulnerable contexts. In these experiences, solidarity ceases to be just learning content, to become an educational process, a pedagogy to learn to solve complex problems of reality, and to use the SDGs as a “curriculum” for the education of the future (UNESCO, 2022:54). These practices are deeply innovative, as the experts who comment on them point out, and we hope that they can be inspiring for many other educational institutions.
