Citizenship Education in the Tradition of Classic Republicanism

This paper traces the idea of citizenship education discussed in classic writings in the West (Plato etc.) and discussed its nature, content and ways of implementation. Based on this, it criticises modern citizenship education that are widely adpted in the West.
