Current global issues provide a rich and real life context for applying what is learned in Maths. How can we hold informed issues on such issues as inequality, climate change or migration without critically engaging with the statistics behind them? Maths has a key role to play in helping us to analyse the numbers, but also to understand how and why these numbers can be manipulated to suit different agendas.
The materials in this resource have been tested in Scottish classrooms. They focus on climate change, gender equality and migration.
